Truro Community Library project ~ Phase 2
The first phase of the building work on Truro library is now complete. The library has had to close to facilitate the move from phase 1 to phase 2, but the newly refurbished, 'back half' and top two floors are now ready. This will include our new IT suite, the Apple Mac suite (although the kit hasn't arrived yet) and the community rooms on the top floor. The community rooms are available for hire to community groups and organisations, businesses and individuals... a great space in the middle of the city!

Truro Carnival, Cornwall
The Truro community Library project is hoping to film this years Truro Carnival on Saturday 12th September and to create a DVD of the event for the organisers using our new Apple Mac digital editing suite.
Budding film makers are needed to take the raw footage...so if you have a digital camcorder or something bigger and better...we need you!

Apple Mac Fans...Come on down!
Apple Mac fans... Truro Community library project is installing an Apple Mac creative media suite in the refurbished building which will be ready by the end of the year. We will have 10 Apple Mac machines, two of which will have professional digital music and video editing applications such as Logic Pro and Final Cut.
Combined with our three new community rooms (the biggest of which would accomodate a band rehearsal) and portable recording and video equipment... We will have a fantastic resource for local people.

Fantastic New Resource In The City Centre
Greetings to all...
The Truro Community Library Project is revamping the old library buildings on Pydar Street, Truro, Cornwall into a fabulous community resource on three floors!
By the end of the year we will have extended public access computers (over 20 machines). an Apple mac digital video and music editing suite, extended lending and reference library services, three large community rooms for hire to community groups and local businesses and a cafe and lounge area on the ground floor where you can relax or check your Emails etc on two fast access terminals.
With extended opening and new events, activities and programmes Truro Community Library will be bigger, better... more exciting than before!
